The Role

Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director, this is a key member of the Finance team, responsible for the financial forecasting and reporting of the Newton Abbot business unit.

As well as taking ownership of the month end reporting requirements and financial packs, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to improve financial performance, providing solutions and creative approaches to the business needs whilst helping reduce costs and drive business profitability and growth.

You will also be responsible adherence to wider Barnes Group financial policies and deadlines, with exposure to commercial and financial strategies of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Information Packs on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual timetable
• Budgeting and forecasting of P&L and balance sheet.
• Looking at current financial performance and identifying trends
• Balance sheet reconciliations and analysis
• Sales analysis and product profitability review
• Cash flow forecasting
• Financial procedure mapping and improvement, ensuring compliance to Barnes Group policies including SOX compliance.

Job Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred or QBE
• The ability to prioritize and meet conflicting demands.
• Structured approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrated cultural change agent
• Computer literate, with advanced skills in production of spreadsheets, data analysis and ERP systems
• 5 or more years finance experience preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Excellent proven problem-solving skills.
