The Role

This Quality Engineer role is QA based, working as part of a team helping the company develop and grow, to meet the ever-changing needs of the aerospace business and, achieve the objectives set out in the “Road Map” by continually striving to improve our performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing, Improving and Maintaining the QMS, to meet the requirements of AS9100 and specific customer needs along with the Quality Manager.
• Control of specifications; customer and aerospace national / international standards.
• Conducting RCCA investigations resulting from internal / external issues.
• Maintaining data base of approved supplier certification.
• Support supplier performance management including RCCA, metric reporting and improvement projects.
• Review of work orders prior to release for manufacture to operations.
• Liaison with customer regarding complaints and issues.
• Support external customer/certification audits.
• Conduct internal audits per audit schedule (AS9100 internal auditor).
• Carrying out supplier audits / visits as and when requested.
• Support FAIR activities - First Article Inspection Reports for individual components and assemblies in line with customer deliveries.

Job Requirements

• Time Served with 4+ years’ experience within a quality/engineering role.
• Requires in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Constantly displays integrity and respect.
• Bases decisions on fact and adopts a disciplined approach.
• Must be self-motivated and possess facilitation skills to be used in a team setting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometrical tolerances, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills (RCA).
