We are the Youth Adventure Trust, a pioneering charity that has been using outdoor adventure to inspire young lives for over 30 years. Since our journey began, we’ve helped over 2,000 vulnerable young people aged 11-16 to build resilience, confidence, and life skills through transformative experiences in the outdoors.

We are currently looking for a Programme Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Programme Manager, you will lead the delivery and co-ordination of our outdoor-based development programmes that support young people.

You will act as the key point of contact for a group of young people, organising and overseeing residential adventure camps, activity days, and one-to-one support throughout the year.

Alongside programme delivery, you will manage the day-to-day administration of the programme, from budget monitoring and provider bookings to database management and reporting.

You will also collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for young people to transition into mentoring and bursary programmes, contribute to organisational planning, and provide support to the fundraising team.

Additionally, you will:

- Recruit young people onto the programme
- Deliver clear communications and updates to young people, families, and schools
- Oversee well-being, monitor progress and evaluate outcomes
- Prepare written reports, feedback and website updates

About You

To be considered as our Programme Manager, you will need:

- Experience working with and managing vulnerable and challenging young people
- Demonstrable skills at building effective relationships with young people, parents/carers and professional organisations
- Excellent leadership and team skills
- Strong communication, influencing and motivational skills
- The ability to work flexible hours, evenings and weekends
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle

Please note, a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Children’s Barred List will be required for this post.

The closing date for this role is 9am on Thursday 16th October 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified by Friday 17th October 2025.

First interviews will be held on Monday 27th October 2025 in Frome, Somerset.

A second interview will be held for selected candidates on Sunday 2nd November in the Wiltshire area.
