Drivers
Salary: Competitive
Hours: Full-time, 40-50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, plus occasional overtime)
Location: Various locations across the UK

As a Driver at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in supporting our waste and recycling services. You’ll be responsible for safely driving vehicles appropriate to your licence class and may also assist with loading duties when required.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - you’ll be collecting recycling and waste materials, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring excellent service for our communities.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week, with occasional overtime to meet service demands.

What will you be doing?
• Safely drive and operate refuse/recycling vehicles up to 32 tonne gross vehicle weight
• Collect waste and recycling materials including food, glass, plastics, paper, and card
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or safety concerns immediately
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times, including at tipping points
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and report any incidents during rounds
• Work as part of a team, providing assistance with loading when required
• Support depot operations, including cleaning vehicles and maintaining equipment

What are we looking for?
• A valid driving licence appropriate to the vehicle you’ll be operating (e.g., Class 1, Class 2, or 7.5T)
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card (where applicable)
• Knowledge of road safety practices and transport legislation
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and physically fit
• Flexible and willing to assist with loading as well as driving
• Previous experience in waste collection or a similar driving role is desirable but not essential - full training will be provided
• Local area knowledge is beneficial but not essential
