You'll be joining a collaborative and supportive Fundraising team at English Heritage, working across Philanthropy, Grants & Trusts, Regional Partnerships and Prospect Research. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of fundraising streams, helping to deliver ambitious plans to protect and share England's extraordinary heritage.

This role is full time and permanent, working 36 hours per week.
Fundraising plays a crucial role at English Heritage. As the Fundraising Officer, you will work across the Fundraising team, have the chance to make a real contribution while using your creativity across exciting projects within dynamic teams, all of which are central to delivering English Heritage's ambitious plans.
Team administration will be a significant element of your daily work, alongside supporting fundraising colleagues to collate documentation to support specific funder cultivation and project stewardship, as well as maintaining accurate data and records on the CRM. You will also act as the first point of contact for team enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and professionally, and take responsibility for coordinating team meetings and away days, including agendas, logistics, and action tracking.
You will bring initiative and self-motivation to achieve goals, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and feel confident working with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, while coordinating multiple projects. As well as being highly organised, you will use your strong writing skills to draft and edit compelling proposals and donor communications, and to create visually engaging documents that support fundraising activity.
The role provides opportunities to visit spectacular heritage sites, engage with English Heritage teams across departments, and build valuable knowledge and expertise of fundraising for the heritage sector.

As Fundraising Officer, you will support colleagues across the Fundraising team to deliver high-quality proposals, reports, and stewardship while ensuring accurate administration and data management.
You will oversee day-to-day team administration, including coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records on the CRM, and managing internal and external communications. You will also support fundraisers by drafting and editing proposals, compiling funder reports, and helping deliver stewardship activity.
You will also:
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with efficiently.
- Create clear, visually engaging documents to support fundraising activity.
To be considered as a Fundraising Officer, you'll need:
- Demonstrable office and administration experience.
- Experience of using databases or CRM systems to manage records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with outstanding attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deadlines.
- Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Interviews will be held in the week commencing 17th November 2025 on MS Teams. The second round of interviews will be held on 4th December 2025 in person at 100 Wood Street, London EC2V 7AN.
