We’re looking for an Online Officer to take the lead on managing our websites, intranet, and wider online presence. You’ll be at the heart of our digital delivery, making sure our content is relevant, accessible, and engaging, and that our platforms support the needs of all our audiences and teams.

We operate a hybrid way of working, combining working from home and days at our office base at Wayfaring House, Kendal. You’ll be provided with a laptop to enable you to access our secure IT network when working remotely.
The role
Your main duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the Authority’s websites and online presence: you’ll oversee our main website, intranet, and microsites, keeping them fresh, functional, and user-friendly
- Digital Innovation: you’ll explore new technologies and partnerships to help us reach more people
- Online Service Delivery: you’ll work with teams across the Authority to make sure our digital platforms meet business and statutory needs
- Performance and insight: you’ll use data and analytics to monitor performance, inform improvements, and shape future digital projects
- You’ll play a key role in the wider Communications team to deliver our strategy
About you
This opportunity would suit someone who has:
- A solid grounding in website management and CMS platforms
- A creative eye for content and a passion for making it work online
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with experience using tools like Google Analytics
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to lead training and support colleagues
- A curious mindset and a drive to keep learning and improving
