Branding Team Leader

Salary: £28,820 + Bonus

The Role
To provide day to day staff supervision and direction to branding production staff. Plan resources and monitor output effectively to meet customer demand and quality standards by driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

To maximize production efficiency and staff utilization through rolling review of workload, prioritizing and communicating effectively to meet changing capacity and demand.

Day to day responsibility for production teams performance management and the active resolution of production queries.

Support the Branding manager in achieving all relevant KPIs and acting as first point of contact in the absence of the Branding Manager for production specific matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff supervision & performance
• To plan and organise the branding operatives to prioritise workloads based on capacity
• Working closely with the Branding Manager, to ensure production is planned & allocated efficiently.
• Identify and address issues of productivity and performance and deal with these by applying Bunzl HR policies
• Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high standard, in the production facility

Production Efficiency
• Maintain and communicate up to date visibility of workload in each production area
• Proactively plan and flex resources to achieve maximum efficiencies and output
• Proactively investigate, liase and resolve order related queries communicating effectively with key stakeholders and maintaining due date compliance where practical
• Contribute to setting, applying and meeting agreed performance measures and improvement targets

General
• Develop and maintain a technical grasp of all branding processes, software/hardware and operating systems to contribute to improving workflow and problem solving.
• To have a competent level of technical understanding, of all machinery, to improve workflow and minimise downtime.
• Participate in any training that may be required to improve your work skills.
• Take on any reasonable request, in accordance with the company’s direction and strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience of managing a small team
Experience of working within a fast-moving Production environment is essential
Experience of Branding production techniques - heat-seal and embroidery is highly desirable
