ABOUT THE ROLE
As the First New Town in the UK, Stevenage has a unique history and story to tell.
We are underway in delivering an exciting £350 million scheme of the regeneration of Stevenage Town Centre and have an exciting annual events programme within the town centre to grow Stevenage as a destination town.
We have an opportunity for an outstanding candidate to join our dynamic team in a supportive role as a Town Centre and Markets Support Officer, liaising with businesses and traders and providing essential technical and financial support to the Town Centre and Markets Team. The post holder will work collaboratively with the Town Centre and Markets team in their roles, and will focus on markets related debts and charges owed to Stevenage Borough Council and the preparation and monitoring of markets budgets as well as technical and administration duties relating to Indoor and Outdoor Markets
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will need excellent excel experience, working with data and finance, and able to support traders to reduce arrears at a time when income has been challenged with the decline in sales and footfall across Markets.
Candidate must be available to commence work on/around 30 March 2026
