We also support 65 member organisations across Northern Ireland in the delivery of high-quality advice services by working with them to enhance their standards and service delivery.

We act as a voice for the independent advice sector, offer a range of award-winning training schemes and campaign to improve the lives of people in Northern Ireland. work with partners and stakeholders to improve access to advice and support for people across Northern Ireland.

We are now looking for an Advice Engagement & Communications Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

This role plays an important part in ensuring Advice NI communicates effectively with members, stakeholders and the public, strengthening engagement across the independent advice network.

As an Advice Engagement & Communications Manager, you will lead the delivery and co-ordination of our communications and engagement activity.

Working within the Digital & Communications team, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of the organisation’s Communications Plan, supporting teams across the organisation to plan and deliver effective communications activity.

Alongside managing communications staff and external suppliers, you will monitor performance through analytics and insight, support communications for events and reports, and encourage innovative and creative approaches to strengthen engagement and reach.

Additionally, you will:

- Provide communications advice, briefings and delivery support to senior leadership in line with agreed organisational priorities
- Lead communications engagement with member organisations and stakeholders
- Manage digital channels, including website content and newsletters
- Lead media relations, including drafting press releases and managing enquiries
- Support improvements to user journeys and access across digital platforms
- Manage communications budgets and contribute to funder reports

About You

To be considered as an Advice Engagement & Communications Manager, you will need:

- Experience in a communications or engagement role with responsibility for planning, delivery and co-ordination
- Experience contributing to communications strategy and plans
- Experience using social media management and scheduling tools to plan, deliver and monitor communications activity
- Practical experience using organisational digital systems to manage communications, engagement or stakeholder activity in a complex organisation (e.g. CMS, CRM, analytics or project management tools)
- Experience managing staff or supervising work
- Strong media and digital communications skills
