eCommerce Manager

Barnstaple |

Employer: North Devon Hospice
Sector/Specialism: Charity

Got hustle? Got heart? Already operating at a high level but itching to go even further?
Perfect. You’re exactly who we’re looking for.

At North Devon Hospice, every item we sell helps fund vital care. From vintage gems to high-end finds, we’re building a bold, trend-savvy online retail operation - and we need someone who can take it to the next level.

We’re not starting from scratch here…
We’re already an eCommerce team that others look to for advice

Now we want someone to take us from “industry respected” ? “industry unstoppable.”

Working for us is awesome! Benefits include:

Generous holiday allowance and paid sick leave increasing with service

Flexible working and family friendly policies including maternity, paternity and adoption leave. We even have pawternity leave!

Tech and cycle to work schemes

Personal pension scheme

Employee Assistance Programme offering free confidential advice on a range of matters including financial, legal, health and wellbeing

Health Cash Plan which can include up to 5 children and the option to include partners

Regular wellbeing events

The opportunity to give us your feedback on how we can improve as an organisation.

The Gig (and it’s a big one):

You’ll be the driving force that takes a high-performing team and pushes it into next-level territory.

Turning everything from vintage gems to “what even is that?!” into standout, high-value sales

Spotting trends early and making them work harder for us

Elevating listings from great ? scroll-stopping

Leading a team that’s already good… and making them exceptional

Creating a culture where innovation, ideas, and ambition thrive

Who you are:

You get eCommerce — deeply. Strategy, selling, psychology… the lot

You’ve got zest — the kind that lifts a whole team

You’re not here to maintain… you’re here to evolve and elevate

You’re a natural leader who people trust, follow, and learn from

You’re curious, creative, and always pushing for “what’s next?”

You see potential everywhere — and know how to unlock it

Why This Role Hits Different:
This isn’t about fixing something broken — it’s about making something great, unbeatable.

You’ll:

Test, refine, and optimise everything (because “good” isn’t the end goal)

Push boundaries on pricing, presentation, and performance

Build smarter systems that scale with ambition

Keep us ahead of the curve — not chasing it

Turn an already brilliant team into a benchmark for others
