Seasonal Visitor Services Assistant - Carew Castle

-3 days per week from mid-July to end of August (18 hours per week)
-4 days per week from mid-July to end of August (24 hours per week)
Salary £13.05 - £13.69 per hour / £25,185 - £26,403 pro rata

An exciting new opportunity exits to join the team at Carew Castle and Tidal Mill as a Seasonal Visitor Services Assistant, helping to create a welcoming environment for every visitor and ensure the smooth-running of the admissions and retail areas daily.
Carew Castle and Tidal is an award-winning heritage attraction welcoming around 55,000 visitors annually. The site was awarded Best Visitor Attraction at the 2024/2025 Visit Pembrokeshire Croeso Awards and the South West Wales Tourism Awards.
Your duties will include dealing with visitor queries and questions in person, on the phone and via email. You will provide helpful and knowledgeable information about the site, the National Park and the surrounding area for the enjoyment of all visitors, offering advice/recommendations to visitors.
You will work in the admissions areas, selling tickets for day visits, events and activities. Working in the Castle gift shop you will use the EPoS system to sell merchandise, replenish retail stock and maintain standards of housekeeping.
You will have experience in a retail or customer service role along with excellent levels of customer service.
You are a friendly person and easy communicator. Enthusiasm for the Carew site and an interest in history would be an advantage.
