We’re looking for an apprentice to join our Communications team on a full-time basis (37 hours per week), based at our Bainbridge office near Leyburn. This is a fixed-term role expected to start on 1 September, until 31 May 2028.

The Role
During the apprenticeship, you will complete structured training and build a portfolio of work while studying towards the Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3 qualification, supported by weekly online training sessions.
In this role, you will support the delivery of clear, engaging and high-quality digital communications that promote the work, projects and priorities of the Authority and its partners. You will help plan, deliver and evaluate communications campaigns, ensuring they reach identified audiences through the most effective channels and communicate key messages clearly.
Working alongside the Digital Communications Officer and Creative Content Producer, you will gain hands-on experience in content creation, social media, website updates, campaign delivery and performance monitoring, helping maintain a consistent and engaging digital presence.
About you
You will have a strong interest in digital communications, marketing or journalism and be committed to completing the Level 3 qualification.
You will be a confident communicator with a good eye for engaging content and storytelling. You’ll also be well organised, able to manage your time effectively and have strong attention to detail.
A basic understanding of social media platforms and digital content is important, along with a willingness to learn new tools and techniques.
Access to a car or access to a means of mobility support to meet the travel demands of the post is essential (if driving must have a current valid driving licence and appropriate business insurance).
