We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual with a commitment to animal welfare to join our team at our busy Gildersome Homing Centre.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2018 we helped around 184,000 cats and kittens, an average of 500 per day.

Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home. In 2018, 41,000 cats were rehomed and 3,000 more reunited with their owners. This success would not be possible without our dedicated team of employees and volunteers. Dealing with thousands of visitors each month, our centres are the face of Cats Protection and we pride ourselves on our employees providing the very best in animal welfare and customer service.

As a Rehoming and Welfare Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring you deliver a professional and friendly service to the general public, matching potential re-homers to suitable cats, maintaining cat care standards and using social media to promote cats ready for re-homing.

Our successful candidate will have good organisational skills, be flexible with approach to hours and enjoy working as part of team. You'll have lots of energy teamed with a positive upbeat attitude. Experience working with or handling cats is desirable and a full, manual driving license is essential
