Learning and Development Partner - Maternity Cover
Home Based

Together we can make a real difference.

Belonging to the Royal Voluntary Service community means inspiring volunteers to support the nation’s health and wellbeing. It means tackling the most pressing social issues in a workplace full of opportunities.

Through the gift of voluntary service, our volunteers provide much-needed support for over-stretched public services. They work at scale in the NHS, freeing up staff to dedicate more time to patient care and within communities to give practical help and support to people when they need it.

Our people are a welcoming team of individuals from every background who support one another to be their best. They are also some of the country’s most compassionate and dedicated people who step forward to help make society better connected and more inclusive - where everyone can thrive.

We’re currently looking for a Learning and Development Partner to join us on a fixed-term contract until the 27th May 2022.

The role

As a Learning and Development Partner, you will partner with colleagues across the organisation to provide a full learning and development service.

Specifically, you will advise and support colleagues regarding training needs, the development of innovative solutions and effective delivery and evaluation services.

Reviewing learning and development needs for both volunteers and employees, you will identify the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed and create and design learning solutions to meet those needs.

Taking into consideration how people learn, the number of people to train, the budget available and the location of the training, you will deliver exciting and engaging training to support the training plan.

Interested? If so, you will need:

- Significant equivalent experience of the full training cycle
- Experience of identifying training needs using a methodical approach
- Experience of creating and developing training solutions including digital content
- Experience as a proven and experienced trainer - face-to-face and online
- Experience of designing training materials using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A nationally recognised learning and development qualification which is equivalent to a minimum Level 3 CIPD

Experience of coaching for the development of individuals and teams would be beneficial to your application. Experience of leading or as a key participant in learning and development projects would also be an advantage, as would experience of utilising and developing Learning Management Systems.

Experience of Digital Learning, E-learning or webinars would be equally desirable, as would experience of working with and designing learning or development interventions that are aimed at volunteers.

Why you should join our team

We’re proud to be in the top 25 not-for-profit organisations to work for in the UK, based on ratings from Indeed. As a valued employee at Royal Voluntary Service, you will benefit from the following:
