Beat is looking to appoint a new Communications Manager to work in the busy Marketing & Income Generation Team.

The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that we communicate our purpose and the support services we provide in a clear, compelling, factually accurate and consistent way so that the public has a favourable view of Beat and see us as an authority in our field who can be trusted to support them when they need us.

We are looking for a self-motivated and talented communications professional to lead our communications activities. In this position, your role will be to increase public awareness and knowledge of Beat and eating disorders; ensure the public have a favourable view of Beat through the creation and dissemination of content that is accurate, compelling and engaging; and ensure colleagues across the charity have access to high-quality resources and support.

To achieve this, you will work closely and form strong working relationships with key colleagues across the Charity, most notably the Clinical team, the Marketing team and the PR team to ensure strategic alignment and operational co-ordination is achieved and maintained across key projects and activities.

The successful applicant must therefore have experience of leading on the development of communications strategies and activities, have knowledge of communication best practices and techniques, possess strong writing, editing and proofreading skills and have experience of line management.

Beat offers 26 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays which rises by a day a year to a maximum of 30 days. Additionally Beat provides membership of a Cash Plan Scheme to all employees and offers flexible working.
