We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Person to join our Facilities Team.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent
Salary: £25,000- £27,000
Days of Work: Mon- Friday (occasional out of hours may be required)
Pension: Employer 5% / Employee 4%
Holidays: 33 days per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays

ROLE SUMMARY:

Responsibilities:

- Support the Facilities Maintenance Team, ensuring the buildings and grounds are kept in a safe working condition, carrying out planned works and remedial repairs and maintenance
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks and inspections and take timely corrective action
- Report problems and/or unsafe practices to the Facilities Manager together with any recommendations for improvements
- Carry out all minor repairs in relation to buildings and utilities, planned and executed in such a way which minimises risk or inconvenience to the business, visitors, contractors or staff
- Basic building repairs, joinery and plumbing works, painting & decorating and grounds maintenance duties for all Linen Mill properties as required
- Maintaining the buildings and grounds to brand standards
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive tasks around the buildings and grounds which are not covered under the external Facilitates Management contract
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements when responding to maintenance requests
- Management of tools, equipment and materials used in the maintenance of the buildings and grounds
- Provide assistance as and when required to other Linen Mill Studio departments i.e. set dressing/ modifications/repairs, retail warehouse tasks etc.
- Driving duties for collection and delivery of materials, equipment, products etc. as required
- Use of forklifts, scissor lifts and other access equipment as needed
- Supervision of external contractors and providing support, if necessary, to assist with the execution of their tasks
- Candidates will be required to work both indoors and outdoors as well as in different weather conditions
- Candidates will be required to be flexible as duties may change in line with the needs of the business
- Candidates will be required to work autonomously, or as part of a team, and maintain communications with the Facilities Manager reporting progression and completion of tasks at hand
- Any other duties that may reasonably be required to ensure smooth running of all Linen Mill Studio’s facilities and services

Please note, this role will involve some heavy lifting and manual tasks.

Essential Criteria:

- Must be able to demonstrate a firm understanding of building maintenance including plumbing, building fabric repairs, joinery, painting & decorating etc.
- Must possess good knowledge of tools, equipment and materials and their safe use and application
- Valid UK driving licence
- Ability to work as part of the Line Mill Studios Facilities Maintenance Team in supporting all departments
- Must have a Powered Access Licence (PAL card) or be willing to undertake necessary training to gain IPAF certification
- The ability to work at height

Desirable Criteria:

- Good understanding of Microsoft office suite and capable of using internal systems to report works, maintain databases, respond to work requests, communicate via email etc.
