MARKETING ASSISTANT

The organisation has a core mission to create wealth, entrepreneurship, and employment in the Craigavon area by assisting the formation of new business and the development and support of existing small businesses.

We are now seeking to recruit a talented and creative Marketing Assistant to join our team based here in Craigavon. The postholder will be required to carry out the day-to-day marketing activities to promote the brand and maximise revenue streams.

Location: CIDO Innovation Centre, Portadown, Craigavon, Co. Armagh
Salary: £25,000 FTE pro rata
Hours: 22.5 hours per week - (between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm, Mon - Wed)
Duration: This is a permanent position. There will be a 6-month probationary period.
Reporting to: Chief Executive

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, develop and implement effective marketing communication campaigns to promote CIDO services including programmes, property, conference facilities, workshops, and any other additional services as requested by the Chief Executive.
- Use the full marketing mix for the company’s marketing communications
- Write copy for all marketing collateral, including brochures, letters, emails, and website
- Understand and maximise the product and customer profile
- Monitor ongoing campaign spend against the budget, keeping accurate records and highlighting and reporting on variances
- Produce an accurate summary of total spend at the end of a marketing campaign or at junctures as determined by the Chief Executive
- Undertake detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met
- Produce and present reports as required by the Chief Executive
- Assist in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with particular attention to pricing, presentation, and promotion
- Liaise with web design and other specific outside agencies to ensure that the marketing needs of the company are met

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience within the past 5 years operating in a marketing role
- A sound knowledge and understanding of social media
- Degree educated or in possession of a marketing qualification equivalent (e.g., CIM Level 6 diploma). Alternatively, demonstrable success in a similar marketing role would be required for a candidate without the relevant qualification
- Strong telephone and interpersonal skills to deal with incoming customer enquiries
- Excellent creative copywriting and proof-reading skills
- Confident MS Office user, highly organised with great attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team, with a hands-on attitude
- Logical approach to problem solving
- Computer literate, able to pick up technical knowledge easily.
- Creative and confident to share and develop ideas

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

- A qualification in Digital Marketing
- Experience of using design packages such as Canva
- Strong Design skills
- Web development experience
