The Role

We are looking for a flexible and adaptable individual to join our Venue team. Reporting to the Commercial and Venue Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of events and meetings from initial sign off to post-event reports and feedback. Working closely with colleagues in the facilities team, you will assist with reception duties, prepare rooms for meetings and events and organise catering services.

You will also assist and drive venue hire sales by seeking sales leads, maintaining client relationships, and closing sales effectively. To be successful in the role, you should feel comfortable communicating with employees across the Institution, industry professionals, clients and third-party suppliers.

To be shortlisted for this post, you must have:

- Numerate skills- be able to prepare and process basic financial information
- Experience acting as a first point to contact to resolve problems or complaints
- Experience working in line with service standards
- Intermediate/ Advanced skills in Outlook and MS Word

Experience working in hospitality, events or sales would be advantageous.

Working Conditions:

We are based on the edge of the city with a bright, modern and open-plan office. We are a small and friendly workforce. As we move out of Covid restrictions, we are presently operating a working model of office-based and remote working and envisage a longer-term hybrid working model.
