We’re looking for an IT Apprentice to join our award-wining apprenticeship programme on our ICT team.

We know it is a big decision to take your first steps in a career and, at Thatchers, we ensure that we give you all the training, support and development you need to succeed.

We will support you to complete a full L3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship, alongside Weston College, at the end of which you will be offered a permanent role with one of our teams. At the beginning of your journey, we will create a training plan that meets your individual needs and will then develop your skills and knowledge through a range of business events and networking opportunities.

The Role

As part of the role, you will complete the L3 technical apprenticeship as well as additional training specific to Thatchers business systems.

The apprenticeship has been designed to give you the specific skills, knowledge and experience to have a solid foundation to progress at Thatchers.

You will be the first point of contact for all IT support queries, troubleshooting and resolving where you can and escalating to other team members where necessary.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Managing all IT support queries
- Building and configuring PCs and laptops
- Daily checks to ensure the Windows and VM environments remain stable
- Administration of our fixed and mobile phone systems
- Maintenance of asset lists and departmental documentation
