At our Energy from Waste (EFW) plant in Lincoln, we are now operating an apprentice scheme to develop Maintenance (Electrical & Controls or Mechanical) Technicians.

We’re therefore looking for a Maintenance Apprentice to join this scheme at our EFW plant in Lincoln.

The Role

As a Maintenance Apprentice, you will join our maintenance team, working on site as well as attending weekly or block college training.

Within the team, you will be trained to a high level, learning the hands-on skills to maintain a range of equipment involved in mechanical and electrical activity.

You will be taught how to conduct routine maintenance, including the inspection and repair of pumps, cranes, fans, hydraulics and pneumatics as well as electrical and control systems.

Additionally, you will learn how to:

- Conduct fault finding in various equipment
- Work safely, write risk assessments and procedures
- Work as part of a motivated and successful team

About You

To be considered as a Maintenance Apprentice, you will need:

- To have or be expecting to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs or the equivalent at A* - C, including Mathematics, English and Physics and/or Science (equivalent awards and appropriate GNVQ and/or BTEC achievements will also be considered)
- To be adaptable, logical and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in IT
