The Company

Our client offers the very best lifting and handling solutions to leading industrial, manufacturing and warehousing sectors in the UK and Ireland. Well-established in their market their team provides a complete service from assessment to design, installation, testing, training and maintenance for all solutions.

They are representatives for industry leading manufacturers including Demag Cranes & Components, Street Cranes, SEW Eurodrive, Reid Lifting and Tractel Lifting and Height Safety Equipment. Services offered include traditional marine engineering, lifting equipment and accessories, machinery moves, installs and maintenance, load testing and ship repair.

To support their ongoing success, they are currently looking for a Service Crane Engineer to join their team in Belfast on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Service Crane Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of servicing and maintenance work on our client’s cranes, lifting equipment and associated plant.

Responding to customers’ calls, you will carry out workshop maintenance and repairs, providing an excellent standard of service to customers at every point of contact.

Additionally, you will:

- Conduct fault finding and planned preventive maintenance
- Maintain and seek new opportunities to extend service levels
- Complete and submit paperwork
- Order parts
- Ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working order
- Ensure van stock levels are replenished

About You

To be considered as a Service Crane Engineer, you will need:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety working practices
- The ability to work under pressure and independently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in IT
- A full, valid and clean driving licence
- To be willing to work away from home
- Relevant trade qualifications

The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces would be beneficial to your application.

You must have a flexible approach to working hours and be willing to do overtime at short notice on occasion. Standard working hours are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 1pm on Friday.
