The Role

As a Blockformer Operator, you will be tasked with ensuring that 20kg blocks of cheese follow an efficient production process from receipt of curd through to release to the cartoning machine.

You will aid in the performance of blockformers, CIP equipment and all associated equipment, ensuring there are adequate stocks of materials available and completing quality control checks.

Assisting the wider cheese-making team as required, your role will also involve:

- Effectively communicating across the production process
- Attending and contributing to team meetings
- Supporting engineering colleagues on fault finding and corrective actions
- Maintaining hygiene and housekeeping standards

About You

To be considered as a Blockformer Operator, you will need:

- To be qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) level, in Maths and English
- Good general and computer literacy, with the ability to populate simple databases and spreadsheets
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work unsupervised

This role consists of four on, four off 12 hour shifts and rota working. You will need a flexible approach to working hours and overtime.
