Executive Assistant
Buckfastleigh, Devon (hybrid role)

Work with us at Riverford and join a thriving employee-owned business:

- Be part of a friendly, engaging and committed team
- Lots of opportunities to learn, grow and progress in your career
- We’ll give you an abundance of free organic fruit and veg, an annual tax-free co-owner bonus, and a bounty of benefits - including low-cost, home-cooked organic breakfasts and lunches

More than just a veg box…

Riverford are mad about organic veg. It’s at the core of everything we do. We love to grow it, pack it into boxes, and deliver it to around 70,000 homes across the UK every week.

This takes loads of brilliant people - and working here makes you a ‘co-owner’, since Riverford is employee owned. Success means much more than just profits; we want this to be a place people enjoy coming to work, and a business our co-owners feel proud of!

In 2021, we were delighted to be awarded two-star Best Companies accreditation, recognising Riverford as an ‘outstanding’ place to work.

What you’ll be doing…

Our Executive Assistant plays a really vital role, sitting at the very heart of Riverford. You’ll be responsible for pulling together many moving parts and performing highly confidential and complex tasks - all of which are essential to keeping our wheels turning.

As our Executive Assistant, you’ll provide efficient, skilled support to our CEO, Founder and the Executive Team. This will include everything from managing diaries, arranging meetings, and handling queries, to co-ordinating travel, organising team events (leadership meetings, away days, etc.), making logistical decisions and acting as the first point of contact for the Executive Team.

This varied and exciting role is also essential to our employee-owned governance structure. You’ll offer professional governance support and guidance to the Riverford Board, Trustee Board, Co-owner Council and committees. This will involve making sure that meetings are managed efficiently and overseeing practical matters - including drafting agendas, circulating papers, taking minutes, and monitoring actions, as well as providing administrative support to each governing body’s chair.

Last but not least, you’ll also be managing Riverford’s reception area, including our receptionist and business support co-owner.

This is truly a role in which no two days are the same. If you relish getting stuck into really diverse and challenging tasks, then we could be looking for you.
