We are looking for a Contract Manager - Reverse Logistics in Wellingborough.

The Contract Manager is responsible organising and managing the operational, commercial and customer facing functions of the Samsung Reverse Logistics department, in such a manner as to provide the best possible service to the customer, within the economic constraints of the business, and also to adhere to both company and customer quality standards, while maintaining good staff relations and Health & Safety standards.

The position will offer a salary range of £40-50K, bonus and family health cover.

Key responsibilities:
1. Operational Control
a. P&L responsibility for the activities within the cost centres.
b. Directly manage the Reverse Logistics Operations Manager and indirectly all operational staff across the department.
c. Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer.

2. Customer Service
a. Establish and maintain good customer relationships, acting as the key customer contact.
b. Ensuring that professional and effective communication is maintained at all times.
c. Identify and recommend appropriate resolutions to customer queries.
d. Regular management information and accurate reporting (internal and external).

3. Continuous Improvement
a. Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to drive efficiency and improvement in business operation and customer service.
b. Development of other logistics revenue opportunities with the customer.
c. Close analysis, promotion and identification of areas for improvement within Yusen’s quality management system.

4. Health and Safety & Company Procedures
a. Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to all times, raising any non-compliances or concerns at the earliest opportunity.
b. Drive an engaged and robust H&S agenda across the site as part of the Senior Management Team.

5. Employee Management
a. Ensure all company procedures, including absence, performance, holiday, etc are managed and adhered to.
b. Ensure all team members are aware of key outcomes, business processes, expectations and that all associated employee procedures are adhered to.
c. Review the training and development needs of both immediate and associated employees to ensure best practice is understood and shared.


Key requirements:
• Proven management experience within a Reverse Logistics operation.
• Warehouse management professional with broad experience of modern facilities and WMS
• Commercial awareness and cost management.
• Demonstrates proven history of business improvement through analysis.
• Team player with management skills.
• Proven ability to interface with customers.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• IT - Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
• Very high degree of integrity.
• Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
• Strong leader, with good values and work ethic
