We are now looking for a pool of External Postgraduate Research Supervisor (Education) to join our Swansea campus.
Please note that immigration sponsorship under the UK Government’s Skilled Worker visa route is not available for this role.

THE ROLE
Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD https://www.uwtsd.ac.uk/doctorate-education/)

We are looking for specialists to be included into the pool of external supervisors This programme is designed to offer Education professionals (teachers and education leaders) an opportunity to gain a research qualification at doctoral level linked to their area of work or professional expertise within the UK and worldwide.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered as a External Postgraduate Research Supervisor (Education) you will need:
- Possession of a higher degree by research at doctoral level relevant to the remit of this programme (please indicate your expertise from the areas below and additional knowledge):

• Education (school-facing, including early years education)
• Education, teaching and learning at FE / HE
• Educational leadership and/or policy
• International Education systems and processes
• Professional learning in education
• Curriculum
• Pedagogy
• Assessment and learner progress

- Clear research competence and recent research expertise
- Experience of involvement in the successful supervision for a research degree student in the past five years
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop professional relationships.
- Demonstrate effective organisational skills
- Apply attention to detail
- Meet the students’ deadlines
- Be able to work collaboratively with the student

It would also be beneficial if you have:
- Experiences in intercultural relations and proficiency in languages such as Chinese, French, Spanish and Arabic in addition to English.
- Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
