Visual Merchandising and Display Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us
Our Wareham shop is looking for volunteers to join the team. Our shop is of a boutique style and offers a lovely friendly one off shopping experience where customers can pop in for a chat as well as find a bargain. We have a great team of volunteers who have a vast knowledge between them, always willing to help find our customers their perfect find, from an outfit for a special occasion to a certain author or a fancy dress outfit. Although our shop is quite small we offer a good range of products. We regularly have a promotional rail for that extra bargain and our vintage themed section is always popular.

About you
As a volunteer Visual Merchandiser you'll put your creative eye for design to good use by window dressing, producing an interesting and inviting atmosphere to entice customers into the shop and help display items at their best potential.
Use our merchandising guidelines to best effect.

How you’ll benefit
• Join a friendly team & make new friends
• Gain confidence & customer service skills
• Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
• Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
• Give back to your community
• Support people through the most difficult times of their lives

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.

Why not arrange a taster session?
You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
