We are currently looking for an Information Management Officer to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As the Information Management Officer, you will be tasked with processing Data Subject Access requests in line with statutory requirements.

Working closely with the Data Protection Officer, you will help to create systems for the recording and reporting of requests.

You will also provide advice and assistance to colleagues on Data Protection and Freedom of Information matters.

Additionally, you will:

- Deliver induction training for new starters
- Provide support with compliance with relevant information security standards
- Develop mechanisms for promoting compliance

About You

To be considered as an Information Management Officer, you will need:

- Experience of responding to Data Subject Access and Freedom of Information requests and the application of exemptions
- Experience of successfully developing, implementing and maintaining corporate processes
- Experience of developing and delivering training programs
- Experience of providing training relating to Information Security, Data Protection and Freedom of Information
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing Data Protection, Freedom of Information and records management
- An understanding of public sector transparency
- A degree level qualification (or equivalent) with a recognised professional qualification such as an ISEB/BCS Data Protection Certificate or equivalent
