HR & Admin Advisor or HR trainee - 37 hours per week

We are looking for either an experienced HR & Admin Officer who will help support our staff in the areas of health and safety and training, or someone to join us as a trainee, keen to progress their career in HR. Our trainee role will offer funded training and development.
You will act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and managers on all matters Health & Safety and Training.
You will be responsible for a range of HR advisory and administrative tasks and you’ll contribute to making the Authority a learning organisation and safer place to work.
If you are passionate about a career in HR and highly efficient, we would love to talk to you. Our ideal candidate will either have experience with HR procedures and the ability to juggle various tasks in a timely manner and be willing to continuously learn new things.
You will get involved in identifying training and development needs, help design and expand our training and development offering, support the development of our induction programme for new staff and create a range of training using classroom and online learning.
You will also help develop a robust framework for health and safety across the Authority, ensuring we are an exemplar employer.

Salary and Benefits:

This role is offered as either a Trainee or an experienced HR Officer
The commencing basic salary for a trainee is from £19,098 per annum; for an experienced HR Officer basic salary is £23,023 to £24,920 per annum; minimum 26 days holiday rising to 31 days, plus public holidays; Local Government Pension Scheme; and flexible working arrangements.

The position will be based at our Head Office in Pembroke Dock; the office is an 8 minute walk from the nearest train station. We have secure cycle parking facilities and ample car parking. We also operate a pool car scheme for site visits.
