About the role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our newly formed Transformation Team as a Digital Project Manager. This brand new role will help deliver our challenging transformation work programme, focusing specifically on digital improvement and making our systems and processes as efficient as possible.

This new team is looking for an individual committed to excellence in their work and with a passion for driving major business improvement, system improvements and technical development. If successful you will assist across all digital aspects of transformation and championing the user experience, including working across a diverse range of projects spanning multiple service areas, such as Planning, Leisure, Waste, Revenues & Benefits, Housing, Environmental Health and Customer Services.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Working with staff across the business to maximise the functionality of existing and new software systems
- Support channel shift by ensuring customers can digitally self-serve as much as possible
- Work with customers and service users to identify options for improvement, implementing new processes and systems

About you

This role will suit a detailed, focused, enthusiastic team player who enjoys working in a multi-disciplined environment driving major business change.

With well developed communication and problem solving skills, you’ll possess the ability to build effective working relationships externally with specialists including software suppliers and internally with front line staff from a variety of services.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Educated to degree level, preferably with an ICT related qualification (e.g. SQL Certification) or significant experience of working with ICT systems in the local government sector (e.g. Capita / Northgate / Uniform / Granicus)
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work without supervision, prioritise work to meet deadlines, and a concern for order and accuracy
