The Workforce Lead will report between Operations, HR And Finance to oversee temporary resource management across the business. In this role you will assume overall responsibility for ILG’s external labour partners, working closely with them to ensure all internal metrics are achieved and acting as the conduit between ILG’s internal operations teams and all external partners.

Job Content:
Working under the supervision of the Regional Operations, Operations Director and Recruitment team this role will support the resourcing of temporary labour and management of the third party suppliers. Working closely with our preferred supplier to ensure temporary worker numbers are met, uplifts are successfully managed and all candidates inducted correctly into the business. You will, monitor performance, manage escalations, operational changes and communications as well as supporting any internal processes that arise from the temporary, casual labour pool to undertake all aspects of the full recruitment process, from job creation, candidate screening, though to the onboarding administration processes

Responsibilities including:

• Understand and have involvement in labour planning requirements, supporting the regional operations managers and ensuring the business is kept up to date with current labour supply, identifying and highlighting any risks in a timely manner
• Manage temporary resource bookings, supporting operations with scheduled uplifts and appropriate planning for peak periods
• Manage the preferred supplier list for temporary labour and build solid relationships with suppliers
• Update job descriptions / company information, with suppliers and ensure accurate information / changes are delivered to suppliers in relation to length, processes and booking information
• Work with managers to ensure positive staffing decisions, clear timescales, logs and understanding of their contingent labour requirements are recorded and kept up to date
• Establish and monitor all suppliers and undertake bi-monthly reviews
• Identify and present recommendations to operations to help reduce spend
• Review and establish causes for unfavourable trends in the metrics, provide and implement root cause analysis and solutions
• Act as the main point of contact for agency rate, timesheets and invoice queries, working closely with operations and finance to ensure timely resolution
• Work with suppliers / sites to ensure inductions are scheduled, ensuring all checks have been completed prior to any new worker starting
• Work with Operations and Finance to monitor spend, forecasts and provide BI/MI as required by the business
• Responsible for the accurate recording and retention of information in accordance with ILG policies and employment legislation.

Person Specification
• Experience of working with contingent labour needs and temporary staffing suppliers either agency, in house or in a workforce planning capacity
• Adaptable and can manage a workload to changing priorities and business needs
• Capable IT skills to pick up new systems and edit / share information securely in line with HR / IT policies
• Enjoys working to targets and able to re-prioritise in line with changing business demands
• Confident communicator and negotiator to represent ILG, with clear verbal and written skills
• Experience of building relationships with suppliers, managing performance and supplier account management
• Reliable, accurate, strong attention to detail and able to demonstrate sound administration skills
• Sound Excel skills and accurate inputting data and tracking information, reporting up to BOD level as required
• Sound knowledge of employment legislation relevant to the recruitment process
• Sound organisational skills to manage workload covering a range of disciplines. (essential)
• Demonstrable experience CV screening, screening candidates and arranging interviews
• Experience / Knowledge in the logistics / Warehousing sector (desirable)
• An element of travel around West Sussex area may be required so driving licence and car able to travel as required (desirable)
