Shop Donations Volunteer

Volunteer to help Sue Ryder to be there when it matters.

About us
We have been part of the community in Hunstanton for over 35 years and our donors are not only our locals - even our regular holiday makers bring us their fab donations. Our garment rails are full of great stock from high end high street such as Laura Ashley, Wallis and Next to designer labels. Not to mention our amazing range of shoes and bags! As well as fashion we stock a range of collectables and items for your home, and we replenish our shelves daily with fresh stock.

About you
Support our shop behind the scenes, back of house, sorting donations, getting things ready for sale and making sure the shop is kept stocked and ready for our customers.

Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

How you’ll benefit
• Join a friendly team & make new friends
• Gain confidence & customer service skills
• Get valuable retail experience & enhance your CV
• Receive discounted donated goods and travel expenses
• Give back to your community
• Support people through the most difficult times of their lives

You will also be helping us to inspire communities to provide more care for more people through innovating and collaborating on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.

Full training will be provided, and travel at a reasonable local rate can be reimbursed for shifts of four hours or more, as agreed with the local manager.

How much time does the role take up?
Volunteering is flexible and can be a regular morning or afternoon. You can opt for weekdays, weekends, or as and when you are available.

Why not arrange a taster session?
You can register your interest in volunteering online or directly in store. You can have a no-obligation taster session in your chosen shop.
