Here at FDS we have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Aruba WiFi Network Engineer to support one of our established clients.

This is a permanent full-time virtual first role working, Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:15. The successful candidate will be predominately working from home with a willingness to travel if / when required on site. There may be a requirement for over-time or on-call working.

Due to the nature of our client's work the successful candidate will need to either hold or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance. For this reason we are only able to progress with applications from British nationals.

Key responsibilities include:
Maintain data network hardware and systems
Investigate and resolve network and hardware matters of significance
Research, analyse, isolate and resolve errors
Assess and update older networks as needed and in accordance with specified plans
Provide technical support on data networks for internal and/or external customers
Provide technical leadership for data network problem escalation and resolution
Install and maintain network facilities, including hardware, software, and system data for small to medium sized networks
Install network applications on network servers or voice equipment; maintain, test, research and resolve problems
Determine appropriate standard testing routines or scripts; may test various data equipment such as routers or switches
Implement, and maintain various networks such as LAN, WAN in accordance with specified requirements
Prepare data network diagrams and drawings to document and assist in communicating current operational status of networks
Perform data network configurations and configuration changes of various data equipment such as routers or switches
Prepare routine proposal documentation and information to meet customer requirements

Essential skills / qualifications:
Currently hold or able to obtain SC security clearance
Aruba WiFi skills
Aruba Controllers deployment and maintenance skills
Knowledge of controller-based & controller-less enterprise wireless architectures, monitoring systems, and RADIUS infrastructure
Cisco LAN / WAN - CCNA level experience
Experience working in a complex routing environment with exposure to OSPF / BGP / iBGP routing protocols
Technical documentation skills
Visual RF Ekahau survey post deployment surveys skills desirable
PaloAlto Firewalls/Checkpoint firewalls desirable
Config and management of IPSec tunnels terminating on both Firewalls and routers desirable
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Proven experience in data networks and Aruba WiFi networks
Experience working with troubleshooting LAN systems and technical infrastructure communication issues
Experience working with current network systems and networking principles, data, or video

Desirable skills / qualifications:
ClearPass and NAC skills desirable
