Chair of Trustee Board
London, UK

About Us

Money Advice Trust provides free information, advice and resources to help people successfully manage their finances. With demand for money advice consistently outstripping supply, finding more efficient ways of helping people is at the heart of our work.

Every day, our Money Advisers make a huge difference by supporting people in difficult circumstances as part of our National Debtline and Business Debtline services. These services offer practical self-help - empowering people in debt to speak to creditors directly and put solutions in place to resolve their debt problems.

We’re currently looking for a Chair for our Trustee Board to help us make the big decisions every day.

This is a superb opportunity for a distinguished individual to join our Trustee Board and help guide our organisation in the right direction.

Bolstering your already impeccable reputation, you will have the chance to make a positive change in society in this crucial role. You will enjoy the satisfaction of improving the lives of people struggling to make ends meet in these trying times.

What’s more, with generous benefits, flexibility and a culture that values support and innovation, you will have the chance to take the lead in a progressive forward-thinking organisation.

The Role

As Chair of our Trustee Board, you will ensure the Board sets the strategic direction for the organisation and that the Trust delivers on its charitable outcomes.

Empowering people who face challenges due to debt, you will apply sound independent judgement to make credible decisions, working with integrity and to our strategic vision.

Additionally, you will network with senior officials from external organisations to help drive our work forward and collaborate productively with the Chief Executive of the Trust.

About You

To be considered as Chair of our Trustee Board, you will need:

- A strong profile, networks and reputation
- A commitment to making a positive contribution to the lives of those in debt
- A passion for our work

Other organisations may call this role Chairperson, Trustee Chair, Chair of Trustees, Governance Partner, or Chair of Board Trustee Directors.

The closing date for applications is the 6th January 2023.
Interviews will be held at our offices in London EC4 on 27th January 2023.
