About Us

Snowdonia National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Eryri National Park. Covering 823 miles of diverse landscape, the Park is home to over 26,000 people, the highest mountain in Wales and the largest natural lake in Wales.

The Carneddau Landscape Partnership Plan (CLPP) is a five year programme which seeks to protect the threatened heritage of the Carneddau (a group of mountains in Snowdonia) by increasing understanding and enjoyment of the area's cultural and natural heritage across a wide range of communities, individuals and organisations.

We are now looking for a Communication and Interpretation Officer to join our team on a full-time basis, for a fixed term contract until 31st December 2025.

The Role

As a Communication and Interpretation Officer, you will distribute CLPP messages to the Partnership, stakeholders, users and the wider public through a variety of channels.

Building public and stakeholder understanding and support of the plan, you will co-ordinate and assist with a programme of publicity and engagement events.

Promoting the work of the plan, you will develop the website, social media and contact with the press and public relations as well as sharing information with our partners and funders.

About You

To be considered as a Communication and Interpretation Officer, you will need:

- The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
- Experience of digital communications
- An understanding of National Parks, environmental and heritage issues and countryside management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- A full, valid driving licence and the use of a vehicle
