Salary: £37,694 National Framework) or £42,863 (London Framework - if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25) - There is also an additional homeworking allowance of £529 per annum for those working from home and an Operational Car Working Allowance of £461 per annum.

We’re now looking for an Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (IR(ME)R) Inspector - Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

What you will bring…

To be considered as our IR(ME)R Inspector - Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will need:

- A minimum of five years’ experience in a clinical setting for nuclear medicine
- Experience using analytical information and evidence to inform decisions against a risk-based methodology and evidence gathering and synthesis
- Experience operating in an autonomous and risk based decision-making environment
- Experience articulating coherent rationales for action
- Knowledge of IR(ME)R2017
- Excellent communication skills
- IT proficiency with a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages
- A current HCPC or RCT registration
- A degree in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent (clinical technologist) and/or to be a clinical scientist with medical physics training

What you’ll be doing…

As our IR(ME)R Inspector - Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will carry out inspections for significant accidental or unintended exposures (SAUE) reported to CQC under IR(ME)R 2017 across England.

Investigating SAUE by liaising with key IR(ME)R duty holders and management staff, you will carry a warrant under the Health and Safety At Work Act and take any necessary enforcement action.

You will also develop individual inspection plans which detail activities, timelines and priorities and ensure the capacity to schedule the required responsive and planned inspections.

Additionally, you will:

- Support colleagues in identifying topical issues for inclusion within IR(ME)R publications
- Update relevant systems to ensure records are maintained
- Ensures judgements, actions and ratings are supported by corroborated evidence and analysis
