To do this, we lead on developing and regulating the social care workforce, service improvement, data and research to improve care.

We are currently looking for a Welsh-speaking Research Co-ordinator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role

As a Research Co-ordinator, you will create accessible and engaging content for professionals in Wales’ social care sector, based on relevant academic research.

Working with academics and policy-researchers, you will produce easy to understand content such as blogs and evidence syntheses for publication on our website.

Liaising with authors over content and style, you will provide advice and constructive feedback, including proofreading and editing with special attention to language equalities.

About You

To be considered as a Research Co-ordinator, you will need:

- Experience of translating research for a non-academic audience
- Experience of using digital and social media platforms in a professional context
- Familiarity with the ‘language’ of social science research and research methods
- Knowledge of the academic and policy research environment and how research is produced
- The ability to format, organise and store digital material both safely and accessibly
- The ability to provide constructive, critical feedback to authors and other partners
- The ability to grasp the needs of colleagues and propose practical solutions
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Welsh and English

Experience of producing evidence syntheses would be highly beneficial, as would experience of structuring, designing and publishing user centred content for online channels and social media.

A postgraduate qualification in social sciences would be advantageous.
