We’re now looking for a dedicated Design Engineer to join the R&D team in Castle Donington and help provide high-quality products to customers.

The Role:

You will be required to study, research and develop ideas for new products and the systems used to make them, and also modify existing products or processes to increase efficiency or improve performance.

- Designing products and manufacturing processes
- Improve existing products and processes
- Assessing product usability and safety
- Writing reports and presenting results to managers and internal customers
- Craft models and drawings of products using SolidWorks
- Research new product ideas and methods
- Ensure compliance with existing standards
- Find creative design solutions to problems
- Adhere to and respect Medstrom values

About You:

To join us as a Design Engineer, ideally you will need to have the following:

Previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
- Proven experience using CAD software; knowledge of SolidWorks would be an advantage
- Have a proactive attitude
- Good understanding of medical standards
- Good communication skills and feel comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to present solutions in front of internal customers and managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Excellent attention to detail

Hours of work: 37.5 per week Monday - Friday
