We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Co-ordinator to join our Sustainability Team. This is a position to cover maternity leave and is an ideal opportunity for you to develop your skills in the implementation of environmental and sustainability initiatives across the campus, in our drive to achieve our Net Zero targets.

Reporting to the Carbon and Energy Reduction Officer, you will work closely with other Estates and Facilities colleagues as well as the wider university staff and student community to support policy implementation and to influence behaviour change. You will assist with accreditation to the WELL Building Standard for our new building on the new National Health Innovation Campus as well as the LEAF sustainability accreditation for our laboratories.

You will have a degree related to sustainability or equivalent knowledge and skills. Good communication and IT skills are essential, together with excellent time management and attention to detail.

We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).

This is a fixed term appointment for 12 months, however, as the post is linked to a maternity absence the end date is subject to change.
