Are you an IT Governance, Risk and Compliance expert with a proven track record of contributing to the strategic planning for risk and compliance?

About you
Reporting to the Head of IT you will lead the IT Assurance team to work seamlessly across IT and the wider Sue Ryder functions to improve all aspects of IT assurance. Ideally you will have extensive experience of governing and managing information security activities within a business environment and demonstrable knowledge in the field of information security governance risk and compliance.
Ideally, you will have an IT degree (or equivalent), IT Service Management experience, an ITIL v3 foundation, or a willingness to progress with further ITIL qualifications. Knowledge of COBIT, Cyber Essentials and IT security is essential for this role.

Main duties include:
• Improve governance and assurance of Sue Ryder’s IT, including services and ways of working. This role influences across all areas of IT operations.
• Full ownership and management of Sue Ryder’s compliance obligations with PCI, DSPT and Cyber Essentials Plus
• Working with central Audit and Risk functions to triangulate efforts on the overall IT Assurance programme and to make sure that best value and optimum outcomes are obtained for Sue Ryder
• Deliver effective and reliable business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including appropriate business impact analysis.
• Provide assurance and oversight of Information Security risk and performance.
