Administrator - Voluntary Services

Salary: £23,312 - £25,813 per year
Closing Date: 29/03/2023

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, diligent and customer focused administrator to join our small, busy and engaged volunteering team.

Our circa 700 volunteers are an integral and valued part of Prospect Hospice. Some volunteers directly help patients and families while others work in our shops or in reception, fundraising, community outreach and much more. They are critical to our success and we value the diverse skills and experiences they bring to enable us to provide excellent end of life care to our local community.

Hours: 37.5 per week (9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday - part-time hours are available for the right candidate, although we are seeking a spread of hours across the working week)

What is the role?

The administrator will be responsible for all day-to-day administrative support to the voluntary services team and lead on or support specific projects to provide an outstanding volunteer experience. You will manage all administrative and record keeping processes relating to the management of volunteers and collate data and management information to demonstrate the impact of volunteering across the hospice.

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter and a great team player. Additionally, you will have great organisation skills, be methodical, have excellent attention to detail, be authentic, inclusive, flexible and adaptable and able to quickly move between competing tasks. Excellent communication and customer service skills are just as important to us, as well as the ability to handle multiple processes in an organised manner.

There will be opportunities for you to work on projects and initiatives outside of the day-to-day administrative work, to expand your knowledge and develop your skill set.

For an informal chat or more information about the position please contact Su Starkey, Head of Volunteering, Learning and Inclusion.

We kindly request that all applicants apply via the “Apply” button shown.

We offer a great range of benefits, including:

- 27 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (rising with length of service)

- Discounts with local retailers, gyms and service providers including Blue Light Discount Card
- Employee Assistance Programme (including access to a GP 24/7 online or by phone)
- Supportive induction, and training and development
- Free parking

Interviews will be taking place on 5th April 2023.
