- THE ROLE -

The postholder will undertake the operational management and leadership of food production services and kitchen operations in the Academy; the Centre for Food, Drink and Culture, through supporting and guiding the kitchen teams and students in consistently delivering quality, variety of food and menus on offer to customers to the agreed standards, whilst ensuring fulfilment of the Academy’s educational, civic and commercial objectives under the guidance of the Academy Business Manager and the Head of Department of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

All short-listed candidates will be required to conduct a cooking demonstration with unseen ingredients as part of the interview process.

This is a full-time permanent position.

We intend to create a 12 month waiting list for same or similar roles within the University.

- ABOUT YOU -

The postholder will be required to hold:

- A Culinary Arts Degree or a relevant professional chef qualification with appropriate food production and kitchen/catering management skills gained in a similar environment, providing restaurant and food and beverage services on a similar scope and scale.

- OR Extensive and relevant experience as a Head Chef in a food and beverage setting offering a range of high-end dining experiences including restaurant, and banqueting service.
