The Department: Revenues & Benefits (Three Rivers & Watford Shared Service)

What we are looking for:

We are looking for four full-time Revenues and Benefits Officers (37.5 hours a week). We will consider applications from those wanting to work less than full time hours, but you must be able to work a full day on a Monday and a Friday, finishing at 5.30pm. In the Revenues and Benefits Department, we offer face-to-face services for our customers from our offices (Three Rivers House in Rickmansworth and the Town Hall in Watford), so there will be a mixture of office days and working from home days.

As a Revenues & Benefits Officer at Three Rivers District Council, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate assessment of claims for Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support, and assist with the administration and collection of Council Tax as well as the recovery of overpaid Housing Benefit, Business Rates and Sundry Debts; therefore attention to detail and the ability to digest complex rules and regulations is important to us. Relevant knowledge and experience are desired but full and extensive training will be provided.
