Volunteer to help Sue Ryder be there when it matters

As a Charity Shop Volunteer Department Coordinator in our Kingsway, Quedgeley Sue Ryder charity shop, you will be one of the store’s friendly faces who will help us to keep our popular clothing department fully stocked and well presented. You will be actively helping us with our mission for sustainability and will help provide the best customer experience whilst playing an important role in raising funds for our charity work.

We are looking for volunteers to help with our amazing range of clothes. Are you interested in fashion trends, brands and designer labels? Passionate about sustainability? Do you love accessorising your look? Would you like to learn more about fashion retail and how to showcase & design unique displays in store? If this sounds like you then we have the perfect volunteer role for you!

Please note - we do have a minimum age requirement in our shops of 18. We regret that we cannot proceed with your application if you are not yet 18.

The Role - Volunteer Clothing Department Coordinator
• Sorting, labelling, pricing of stock
• Spotting items of higher value e.g. designer / vintage and retro items
• Maintaining the clothes department along with attractive shop displays & re-stocking
• Greeting and helping customers
• Serving customers on the till (training provided)
• Light cleaning/tidying duties to keep the shop inviting and well presented

About you
As a Volunteer Clothing Department Coordinator (Clothing) you will:
• Have an interest in fashion with a keen eye for special items
• Be able to keep the clothes department well organised
• Enjoy making the shop look appealing and attractive
• Enjoy helping and engaging with customers
Be an enthusiastic and pro-active team-player
