About the role

The Computer Aided Facility Manager will advise and support the Director of Campus Infrastructure and the wider Campus Infrastructure team in implementing a fully operational, managed and customer focused Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.

You will:

- Work closely with the Digital Transformation team, Campus Infrastructure colleagues and construction and engineering professionals
- Provide first line support to colleagues and external users in all elements of system usage, ensuring that best practice is adopted by users of the CAFM system
- Be required to maintain regular contact with the system supplier ensuring that system updates and developments are implemented in a timely and controlled manner
- Ensure efficient control and manage all system development requests, leading on the implementation of upgrades of the CAFM system across the Institution and be the first point of contact for enquiries and advice regarding use of the system
- Play an active role in the training of current and new staff, service users and external contractors

This role is offered on a permanent, full time (36.5 hours per week) basis.

About you

The postholder will have:

- A degree level or equivalent qualification in a subject such as information management, mathematics, or sciences or equivalent working experience
- Varied experience of working with and managing a CAFM system
- Strong evidence of experience of database administration and functional system administration, supporting end users
- Experience of Archibus or other similar integrated workplace management software

The role is based in the Department of Campus Infrastructure who are responsible for the strategic planning, development and management of the University’s lands and buildings. The Infrastructure team provide installation, maintenance and repair of these buildings, contributing to the University’s exceptional student experience.
