How Webrecruit partnered with the leading charity to increase the reach of its recruitment advertising campaigns
The RNLI’s purpose is simple, to save lives at sea. Since the 19th century, their crews have been risking their lives to save those who are in danger of drowning.
Webrecruit began working with the RNLI back in 2016 when Recruitment Manager, Kevin Barnard, joined the business. Kevin had worked with Webrecruit at his previous company and was looking for an advertising partner for the RNLI who could offer a similar level of reach.
When Kevin joined the organisation, he recognised that they could achieve better coverage of their roles across more job boards, for a lower cost than what they were currently paying.

With the organisation’s requirements in mind, Webrecruit put together a competitively priced, branded recruitment advertising package together for the RNLI to help their roles reach a wider audience. It offered the exposure that the organisation needed but without the high price tag.

Additionally, for more specialist roles that required a tailored approach, Webrecruit was able to provide guidance to recommend the most appropriate job boards on a job-by-job basis, based on data, analytics and the relationships held with advertising suppliers.
The Recruitment team at the RNLI put together their own job adverts so Webrecruit’s Copywriters also partnered with them to provide tips and coaching to improve the structure and searchability of their advertising copy.
Since partnering with Webrecruit, Kevin and the RNLI team were able to significantly increase the reach of their vacancies while keeping costs low. Additionally, recruitment campaigns were able to be launched more efficiently.
